Your primary role as a Torchiana Senior Career Coach is to provide one-on-one coaching and group services to professionals in career transition. You will advise and coach participants in preparing themselves for the job market, spanning career & professional assessment, career exploration (including entrepreneurial/consulting paths), navigating recruiter relationships, resume development, personal branding, networking and interviewing, negotiation, and successful onboarding in new roles. If you like helping others and are passionate about the latest trends in employment/job search for the new world of work, we want you on our team!


  • Provide career coaching at all levels, with the objective of achieving tangible and timely outcomes with participants 

  • Strategize and facilitate innovative and effective job search tactics; apply local employment market knowledge, business experience, information and analytical perspectives to improve and accelerate participants’ success 

  • Appropriately set expectations of Torchiana’s proprietary A+/E+ Career Transition approach for all participants.  Agree on deliverables, set meeting cadence and leverage technologies and tools to support 1:1 consulting 

  • Support participants in setting job search/career transition objectives while developing realistic action plans to achieve results 

  • Actively engage participants in services by encouraging their participation and progress against plans and proactively scheduling them for regular in-person meetings 

  • Leverage connections to make select and key introductions for participants 

  • Develop search-related marketing materials (resumes, LinkedIn profiles, bios and correspondence)  

  • Actively collaborate to share ideas and expertise with coaching peers 

  • Document activities and provide timely recording of notes via online platforms for tracking status and providing client reports


  •  2-8 yrs. equivalent experience in similar or related role

  • Proven track record with interpersonal communication, project management and presentation skills

  • Exceptionally strong coaching skills

  • Knowledge of the local employment market, regional industries, business functions and organizational roles

  • Demonstrated expertise of best practices in modern job search and contemporary hiring trends

  • Willingness to travel to local offices in the Bay Area as needed

  • Available and adaptable for flexible hours and scheduling arrangements

  • Ability to conduct video/phone coaching sessions with participants as desired

  • Comfortable with technology and the desire to continually learn new platforms for delivery


  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience (Masters degree preferred)

  • Coaching Certificate preferred
